Hi, lovelies. Here are a couple of projects I'm planning to tackle this afternoon:
1. Newsprint Manicure
Super cute nail art idea for those typophiles among us. It's really a piece of cake, if you take your time and don't rush things. I totally did and used old, crappy nail polish and am regretting every gummy, smudged minute of it. Made for a nice practice round, though, I guess. Bought some new polish at CVS this morning, so I'm all set for a redo tonight. Tutorial and pics to follow!

2. Glittery iPhone Case
Three things I love: glitter, glow-in-the-dark, and skulls. Glitter-covered stuff is everywhere (seriously, just Google "DIY glitter") and I saw lots of tutorials like this one here. I resisted as long as I could, but I'm finally giving in to its sparkly siren's-call. My dad gave me his old iPhone 4 case(which was conveniently already black). It was cracked, but I fixed it with a little superglue and some tissue paper. I bought me some glitter, and I'm ready to rock-n-roll! Tutorial and pics to follow.
Pro tip: sketch yo shiz out!

3. Skull Bead and Tassel Earrings
LOVE these. When I saw them I was instantly reminded of these turquoise skull beads I grabbed last-minute at a Michael's. They came on a stretchy, bracelet-sized band, so I've just been wearing them, but this looks like the perfect opportunity to sacrifice the bracelet for the greater craft. Tassel earrings are sooo on-trend (please read that while imagining an ironic expression on my face) and I had made up a few out of embroidery floss to have on hand for quick presents or whatevs. Tutorial and pics to...well, you get the idea.
Also. SKULLS.
On a side note, I love wearing long, dangly earrings. I feel like they glam and girly up a short hairstyle like mine. Plus, I think that they have less impact when worn with long hair (worn down) because they get hidden and caught in those locks. With short hair or an up-do they can be eye-catching as they swing, sparkle, even make tiny noises as you move around.
